I wish her hair was brighter, but at least it’s red. Still, these Disney remakes have a huge problem with being way to drab/brown compared to the original. And it seems this one won’t be an exception.

Daveed Diggs (Hamilton, Snowpiercer) as the voice of Sebastian; Jacob Tremblay (Luca) as the voice of Flounder”

Except it is no where near the largest rocket. This is only the first stage not the full stack.

Bailey looks great as Ariel!

I think everyone has this thought run through their head but

Those are the top two reasons this was forseeable.

True. Photo of water deluge system:

Worth noting that this is not the orbital launch pad, which DOES have a water deluge system installed. This was at the smaller Starship test stand they built a few years ago now. (Starship by itself doesn’t fit the orbital pad which is designed for the Heavy booster.)

Probably, but then, remember, this is Musk and Texas we’re talking about.

I believe this could have been foreseen.

There are times and places where ‘move fast and break things’ is appropriate (or at least not inappropriate). However, when dealing with fire hazards and protected habitats, that is most definitely not one of them.

Can you imagine being a VFX artist, having gone through whatever schooling and training you had to go through to get to the top of the pile to work on an MCU/Disney show like this, and then having to ask stuff like “Ms. Maslany, could you throw it back a little more on this next take? The mo-cap’s not getting it all,

I wondered about that as well. If you look at pics of the stand-in, she is literally the same build as She-Hulk

You said, very well, exactly what I wanted to. I though the whole cameo and end scene was just a fun thing they threw on because they managed to land her for it. I severely want a Harvey Birdman reference at some point.

“side”

HEY YOU! GET YOUR DAMN LOGIC OFF HER(E)

They do have a 6'7" stand-in yet still can’t make Shulkie walking look natural.

I’d be shocked to find out that they don’t have someone doing that for VFX reference (just like they had different people in Vader’s armor for different scenes in Obi-wan).

What a reasonable, empathetic response to a throwaway scene on a superhero show.

All Disney really need to do is get a WNBA player to do some of these motion capture moments. Stop exhausting the VFX artists. They have to go home.
