I just keep trying to look around his head and there is just…..more face.

Yeah. Natural wellness. Super fun plan everybody! Maybe if they try hard enough they can get all nutritional supplements removed from our food supply. No more Vitamin D in the milk. Iodine in the salt, treatment of the water supply, treatment of our sewage. What a wonderful, panacea - of death - awaits!
The “natural wellness movement", evangelicalism, and Trump.
Mico ships that makes you gays communist.
I am a teacher and my health insurance doesn't pay for the flu vaccine for me or my partner. Ridiculous that I need to pay out of pocket to protect myself against a highly contagious illness that I am very likely to get during a school year. But you know, we teachers just like our summers off and stuff... 🙄
Shame his parents didn’t give him the vaccine as a child that prevents your facial features looking like they were photoshopped to only 2/3s the size of the actual head.
If no one has thanked you for getting vaccinated through your phobia, please consider yourself thanked. You are brave, and your bravery is appreciated.
I do strongly feel this (especially as someone who just lost her father, who chose not to get vaccinated, to COVID-19), but letting the virus run rampant in those populations is how the “innocents” (children, immunocompromised, the rare vaccinated person with a breakthrough infection, etc.) get sick, too. It’s also…
I happen to have a lifelong, extremely severe phobia of any form of invasive medical care (that means I spiral into panic attacks and scream my lungs out during shots or blood draws, I shake, cry, and all of that is WITH a helping of Xanax beforehand. Without the pink pills, it gets... bad, or rather, worse.)
404: Sympathy Not Found
Yep, governments interpreting the CDC guidelines of “Vaccinated people don’t need to wear masks” (which I expect is purely a medical analysis) as an actual recommendation to stop requiring them to do so was sheer idiocy because, as you point out, it’s the only way to keep unvaccinated people wearing the masks.
I’m so disappointed in my personal lack of magnetism, it would free up my hands carrying all my junk into work in morning, where are my office keys? Not jingling annoyingly in my pocket anymore!
On the positive side, most of the cases are in the southern, northeast and panhandle of Florida. the Orlando area seems to be doing ok. But I wouldn’t be surprised if Disney reinstated the mask mandate if the numbers continue to rise. They’ve been pretty good about COVID. Universal on the other hand, is a goddamn free…
I saw my family for the first time in at least a year (up to 2 for some of them) and this necessitated a trip to South Dakota; I live in the bay area. It was such a culture shock getting into SD that I was absolutely astounded. I’m vaccinated but still wear masks indoors and even outdoors if I can’t really be…
Dispatch from Los Angeles:
I’m still wearing a mask even though I’m vaccinated because I know that 3 out of every 10 people I see walking around without a mask still isn’t vaccinated and doesn’t give a shit and is a possible carrier.
“So how concerned should we be?”
My sister, brother in law, and year and a half old nephew are going to Disney World in late September. My sister’s a nurse, fully vaccinated. Brother in law is vaccinated too. But I’m very worried about my nephew getting sick. He’s just gotten over pneumonia AND an ear infection and had a covid scare recently but…
too many people just plain don’t care. both white and black and other folks, caught up in vicious conspiracy notions, “magnetized vaccines’ and all that carrying on. it’s terrible. minority communities end up suffering disproportionately from all the misinformation out there, both the “well meaning” home remedy types…
I guess I’m feeling a slight amount of vindication for not letting my guard down. Since my state dropped the mandate, the vast majority of folks no longer see fit to mask up. I wasn’t about to let my guard down until vaccination rates in my community reached a critical mass. And guess what? They’ve been stuck around…
