Oh I think it is, the Evil Corp parts at any rate.
Though I enjoyed the episode all around, I found the directing lacking in this episode. I prefaced watching this ep by rewatching the Season 1 finale and let me tell you, the two don’t compare. That being said, it was still a good directing job but there was a lot of standard TV directing going on when two characters…
Point blank is Rucka knows how to write. I’m happy he reneged on his promise to leave comics. Being an established novelist gives him a perspective not shared by virtually any other comic writer out there. He was a brilliant director, Full Metal Jacket haunts me to this day though I find Eyes Wide Shut spectacularly unforgivable.
If you want to get this, DC has on pre-order right now a deluxe reprint of both the original size and 7x10 size of this book.
I have worked with Jack at Square for several years and I can tell you that the events in Ferguson did affect him deeply. He’s aware he’s a privileged white guy but his style is to enable conversation rather than be the conversation. I truly feel that is what he has been trying to do.
I only have two words for this: Yes, please.
I replied with the exact same thing to another article on here last week about movies that deserve a remake (LOEG was one of them on the list).
JSA was Johns and Goyer for the first year then Johns took over full time. Stars and STRIPE was a comic Johns wrote inspired by his sister.
“Incredibly Animated Finger Puppet Looks Like it Might Actually Be Alive”
Actually I think this video is pretty insightful if for nothing else than by showing that there is more than 1 definition of “great movie”.
