you can mess this up.. if you’re going to a convention to sell things, you have to enter as a business traveler. If you declare yourself as a tourist visitor, you’ll be turned around and filed in the system as having lied on your representation.

Redesign things doesn’t support the theory that “they just want to milk money”. It would be cheaper and simpler to just regurgitate the same old stuff instead, and make things as cheap to produce as possible
