I gave patients the option between a self-check and a provider check and many were uncomfortable putting swabs in their vaginas. They either feared they would do it incorrectly or could hurt themselves - even when I explained the process thoroughly. Everyone has different comfort levels.

This is true. However, the problem with self-collected tests is that many of my patients when offered the option were uncomfortable doing them, even despite a thorough explanation of how they are done.

They should definitely be done. The sheer amount of asymptomatic cases of gonorrhea and chlamydia in my clinic were astounding. Many of the women were in seemingly monogamous relationships at the time. My advice: if you're having sex, request a pelvic exam once yearly. Letting an infection go untreated can lead to PID.

In my comment I clearly stated that students participating at these parties didn't often encounter disciplinary action. I did not say that people criticizing her were in agreement with the conduct of the students at blackface parties. Perhaps when it's a frat/sorority but when it's just a good ol' campus party (which these are)...there's very little done in the way of discipline.
