I kind of disagree the scene being pointless as it was a moment of someone showing Luke genuine appreciation in that crazy party. In that way it helped to further highlight the insanity and outrageousness of the rest of interactions there.

I know I feel about James Lucas: he’s portrayed by Reg E Cathey, so I love him. What you thought?

True, but when the actual source of those problems was the predecessors of the role Mariah inherited, the “top dog” of Harlem’s black enterprises, then they become less random problems she’s not associated with and more a legacy of the system which she has willingly entered for her own benefit.

Well there’s a reason Rev didn’t come back. This was the actor’s last role before passing on. They might have had to cut it a certain way

What the fuck does this have to do with Luke Cage?

I’m a little bit baffled by this review. I get that a binge makes for some rickety analysis on a good day, but still, this is pretty basic stuff.

“Where’s my money, honey?” I do like the little comic book Easter Eggs.

I dunno, the feels like a reach

U mad, bro?

What about Misty? Is she not dark enough either? And are you forgetting how thoughtfully Luke interacted with Tilda and the Jamaican restaurant lady? I appreciate the casting of different shades of black women onthe shoe and so far the morality of these characters isn’t defined by how much melanin is in their skin.

What, no love for Foggy Nelson?

I’m enjoying Luke Cage Season 2 and I’m enjoying these updates. If there was other content being buried by all of these reviews then that would be fair enough, but there isn’t much else worth covering at the moment, so I don’t see the problem with them staying.

I think it was just thoughtless casting; Luke was happy to pose with the 1st woman because she addressed him as a human instead of a souvenir, but by the time the 2nd woman shoved herself onto him, he had spotted a person-of-interest across the party.

Tell us how you really feel.

>What happened to Luke’s apartment before Claire? Doesn’t he have anywhere to go? Is Luke a fuckboi? Discuss.

“’Luke Cage’... is so... powerful... that... he... seems to be... cranking... in the... presence... of... his... mother!”

This is actually Colter’s fourth season playing the character. Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Defenders, Luke Cage Season 2.

Killing off the strongest character halfway through the season really hurt. Cottonmouth (aka Ali) was fantastic.

And it didn’t have Robyn who they mercifully wrote out of the plot off screen in between the first two seasons.

I like that the Voodoo priestess told Tyrone that to get into a trance state he could either get in the herbal bath or she can hit him on the head. Then we see Tandy’s dreamstate and remember she has a concussion.
