What gets my goat is they replaced the XJ with the Liberty, a vehicle that was worse in *every* conceivable way excepting, maybe, MPG.
Less interior space, less capable, ugly and relatively expensive.

The shifter is the only part of the interior that isn’t appalling.   S95 interior in general is fugly, but those yellow inserts plus the tacky column gauges don’t do it any favors.
