Some games like Assetto Corsa Competizione let you save your progress throughout the race. I don’t get the sense GT7 will let you do that, so yeah you may just have to do it the old fashioned way.

Yeah 24 hour endurance races exist in real life. Typically you race these with a team of drivers. I’m sure the rewards just vary from race to race. 24 hours of Le Mans, Daytona and Spa are probably the three most prestigious.  

The music was very stupid yes, but to call the whole thing awkward and underwhelming is far stupider.
