The ruling will probably contribute to any ruling on text and code generation in the future, since this case determined that the creator is allowed to copyright the written text from the comic, but only because it was NOT generated by AI. So the implication is already there that if the writing had been made by AI, it

2024: Disney forced to apologize after accidentally leaking their first draft title, Shang-Chi 2: The Amazing Kang and the Kang Clan.

That’s true. However Buzz was originally also from an in-universe TV show, but Lightyear retcons that in order to justify its own existence.

“This is actually a success because he could have lost even MORE money!” This is not the winning argument you think it is.

Yeah but they actually made things in 2002 instead of just cancelling everything.

They canceled, destroyed, and erased massive amounts of art, but it was all worth it because they also lost money! Don’t worry though, Zazlav was still paid $247 million to accomplish nothing.

“So what’s stopping critics from doing it?”

ATTENTION LADIES, HERE’S THE #1 BEAUTY TIP THAT WILL DRIVE YOUR MAN WILD: Stop having a face.

Luca had its moments, but I think the problem that it and most of Pixar’s recent stuff has it that it’s trying too hard to recapture the magic of the studio’s early days, and consequently the movies end up feeling kind of samey.

I highly doubt those people had any tangible effect on the movie’s ticket sales, though, considering the runaway success of so many other movies which have been branded “woke.”

If anything I’d say it expected too little of the audience. They expected us to buy that this movie existed because the story of the Buzz Lightyear toy’s original source media just HAD to be told (even though it was already told 23 years ago) when Lightyear obviously existed because someone at Disney decided they

“Your honor, how can my client be ‘guilty’ of these so-called ‘incredibly violent murders’ when by his own admission he is too dumb to understand the lore behind Buzz Lightyear? The defense rests!

Ironically in this film it would actually make a decent amount of sense if Mr. Potato Head died on the way to his home planet.

This has nothing to do with Toy Story. I simply can’t enjoy a science fiction adventure film unless there’s a horrifying man-sized potato creature who is the hero’s best friend.

Sort of but not really? Spiritfarer is a resource management game/life sim (afterlife sim?) whereas Outbound Ghost is more of a lighthearted RPG. Both are really charming in their own ways, but I don’t think they have much in common beyond the basic goal of helping characters cross over.

Yeah but if you want to be a Nazi, then you pretty much are one.
