That is a great scene. I always thought Hemsworth was the weak link acting-wise, but this turned me around. He acts the fuck out of that scene.

To be fair, Rocket does have one hell of a lawyer.
And yet Rocket, despite being a bloodthirsty pathological thief with a mordant sense of humor, is now a beloved children’s-culture icon.
This is my all time favourite scene in my favourite MCU film.
I also think that ASM2 has 2 scenes that are as note perfect Spiderman scenes of any of the movies, the opening where Spiderman is swinging through Manhattan to see what’s going on today, and the montage of him stopping various crimes while tv/radio coverage talks about Spiderman. Outside of that the movie was a mess.
I think 2017 is actually a pretty good candidate. Wonder Woman, Logan, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Thor: Ragnarok. Plus Lego Batman, and if you want to think of Guardians as a superhero thing, I think the second one is actually a bit better than the first. Not only are those movies all at least good, it covers so many…
I loved Winter Soldier, but its conspiracy plot was a bit too far-fetched. Nazi sympathisers holding immense political and military power in the 21st-century USA? Whatever, comic books!
Here’s a question (perhaps to be answered after four more columns): What was the best year for superhero movies? Because GotG and Winter Soldier, plus Big Hero Six, make 2014 a pretty strong contender. I’d say the action scenes in Winter Soldier are the best of any Marvel movie. But I guess 2018 is solid too.
Winter Soldier is, I reckon, the better Marvel movie of the two, but I can’t deny just how game-changing Guardians of The Galaxy really is. It proved that Marvel Studios didn’t need X-men, or at least can still be a thing without waiting for Fox to cough up their Infinity Stone, so to speak. It proved that Marvel has…
Or webrings!
Uh, excuse me, you mean THE WAR OF NORTHERN AGGRESSION.
WoW peaked in 2010.
.
Well, basically the entire hashtag resistance is a grift, but at least these clowns are entertainingly stupid about it. I mean, come onnnnnn
I bet you were also grayed out back in 2009.
At that point, Hillary Clinton had only lost once.
I had something similar happen.
To be fair, “Stop Buying Canned, Chopped Tomatoes” is a pretty aggressive headline, which makes people defensive immediately. My Chrome tab name indicates that “How to Chop Whole Canned Tomatoes” was the original headline, but I guess that didn’t have enough click-bait.
I can’t wait to see GallowBoob shilling for the Chinese government.
It’s scary how shady things get once a lot of money starts coming in from information management.
