One thing I discovered years ago that has only been reinforced repeatedly is that little kids like talking to me partly because I use the exact same language with them as I do with adults. I don’t change my tone and I don’t simplify my word choices. They might have to ask me what a word means, but, you know, they

Bumble is on the list for being like Tinder, yet Tinder is not on the list?

Warning: Last I checked, signing up for Verizon UP required (probably still requires) you to sign up for Verizon Selects as well. It’s their service that allows them to track essentially every single thing you do on your phone including tracking your browsing. Be wary.

What would a higher resolution screen even accomplish, given that most games have to take a pretty fair resolution hit to run well in portable mode in the first place? There is no point in having a 1080p screen on the system if games are running below 720p in portable mode.  Doom, for example, runs something like 576p

I find the requests for larger, higher rez screen, more storage and BT audio to be in direct conflict with longer battery life. All of those things would be nice, but let’s face reality. Batteries are the weak link in almost all portable devices. If you want power (GPU, fast CPU etc) you give up battery life. If you

I agree with the bezel & glare reduction, but your other propositions dont seem like universal selling points to me.

My only concern with the potential of a Switch Pro is titles that start coming out that are exclusive to the Pro and not playable on my Switch Classic.

It’s a literal translation of the Japanese word, yes, but we don’t need to use the literal translation because this isn’t some new concept that the West is just hearing about. People have been doing this for centuries, so it’s kinda silly to act like “forest bathing” is a new thing for the west just because it wasn’t

Hetero male here with 2 kids (1 biological and 1 adopted). We have gotten the question about our “real” child. I’ve come to learn that, for the most part, people are so woefully ignorant about adoption or it’s just outside of their vocabulary that it doesn’t even cross their mind about the language they use when

Living in any city with a major league sports team means you’re taking part in a scam to subsidize stadiums for billionaires. Rather than dig in their own pockets, they dig into scarce budgets and tax payer wallets while using local media outlets to push PR for ‘much needed economic boost’ headlines when you’re just

Or we could continue to use the word that means exactly what they are being?

Thank you! I get that some commenters (clearly) take it too far, but it always weirds me out when people talk about who can @ them and who should reply to what. It’s a public space, like it or not.

Yea, it’s a bit reminiscent of high school kids who claim lunchroom tables for some reason.

You didn’t include it in the story, but c’mon, the #1 reason these folks prefer cash tips is for tax evasion.

I’ve literally stopped paying attention to the “OMFG, discounted flights*” due to all of the restrictions and limitations.  I don’t care if a flight is only $59 if it’s from Boise, Idaho to Moosejaw, Saskatchewan on Wed, May 22nd at 11pm, and returning Tues, June 18th.  Paying $60/year, being able to only fly on 1/3rd

Neat ideas, but they’re all so expensive. I’ll have to stick to the old method of “hide 2/3 of the toys they have until they forget they have them”.

I’ve had the same experience. For me the biggest peeve isn’t the number of orders that are late, it’s that Amazon will either A) say it was already delivered, then say that “Oh, it might physically arrive 1-3 days after you get the delivery notification,” which makes it hard to tell if my stuff was stolen, or B) Give

I read recently about a GOOD Secret Santa exchange. You get a person’s name, then you buy a toy based on the person’s personality or interest. So you might get a football with their favorite teams logo, or a toy sewing machine for a crafter.

This article has three paragraphs, and if you got to the tip jar part you’ve already read two. Finish the job, friend!

the only problem with scheduling all of them in one day is that the doctor appointments take so long sometimes that they run into each other, no matter what they say about patient loads etc, and you cannot cancel the same day without a fee (although none have ever charged me a fee)
