I literally did exactly this for a Viper. Went with the owner to his credit union, swiped my debit card, got title from credit union, drove home. That last part was the hardest since my home was 700 miles away...but still an easy process.

Yep!

Enough with the auto journalist, internet commenter garbage that a Viper is going to kill you and it’s so scary. It’s not that crazy. It’s pretty boring. It’s fine in the rain if you don’t floor it everywhere. It handles well. It’s grippy. You’re only going to have a bad time if you’re a 16 year old with an

He made it sound like a challenge and I want it so bad now. This guy knows how to write!

Yeah they tried calling me about my ‘11 F800R I had on CL. It’s a 5k bike; you’re not really gonna find me someone from out of town that has to have it. And definitely not for a 10% fee of my asking price.

I sell a car about once every 18 months and always list on CL in addition to the other car selling sites. I guarantee that my ads have gotten more aggressive over the years. Exactly like what you said but you forgot that stupid Las Vegas based company that wants to help you sell it and constantly calls and leaves

Are you in El Paso cause I just got one a couple weeks ago

Wow! one of the most fascinating things I’ve seen on the good ol interwebs in a long time!

You’re definitely turning into one of my favorite authors here on Jalopnik! Hook ‘em!

You can select just classic minis and it filters the BMWs out

Check out the classifieds on minimania.com. Some good deals to be had if you keep an eye out

Every car enthusiast should own a mini at least once. They don’t lose value either, so why not!

Most fun car I’ve ever owned (that’s it in my picture with my old Viper) hands down

And the 60 (maybe) hp in the mini was the most fun by far for everyday driving. Not to mention how cool LHD is.

It’s not fast for a base, the S is quick enough though. The handling is phenomenal though on either. Price will probably keep me base, but I also value having unique cars a lot too. I thought when the 400 came out the 11-14 MYs would go down in price but they’ve not change a dime (as someone who has seen every evora

I love your z4m. So pretty. I’ve looked for them on occasion but so hard to find. My Porsche 987s has been trouble free, but kinda boring. The only car I am really lusting after is an evora, but gotta be skittles colors so it’s hard to find...plus more than I should spend.

I think $30k for a new car is overrated. Right now, I am in the green as far as buying and selling cars. That initial money is the hard part...which was easy for me due to an all expenses paid trip to Afghanistan for a year.

After selling th Elise I cross shopped a GLA 250, Subaru crosstrek, and the Viper. The second my wife told me that I should just get the Viper I bought a one way plane ticket to Houston to pick the Viper up and drive 700 miles home.

Nah, Elise was more reliable for me by far. The viper just had a rather smooth ride and the seats were sooo comfy.

Yeah mine was $24,500 with 60k miles. Sold 2 years later with 80k for $27,500. Such a fun and crazy cool looking car. Definitely miss it, but a rattly road trip that destroyed my body convinced me to sell and go for a more practical viper.
