If you want a less lame version, read the Grimm's Cinderella. Granted, it might scare small children - the stepsisters cut off pieces of their feet (heel and toes) to get into the shoes. Also instead of a fairy godmother, it's a a white bird that give Cinderella her shoes/dress and at the end, the birds peck out the

"Does this mean you're giving up feminism?"

So I get that they can't charge them with sexual assault if none of the victims press charges, but if there are several videos of them claiming/bragging about raping young girls and how they are going to keep doing it, can't that be considered a serious enough threat to arrest them? And if they took videos, wouldn't

"It's not rape,. I had sex with one girl who is 13 when i was 16.. She wanted it and thats all that matters"

Some women experience something like rug burn (for lack of a better term), I can't use certain brands of condoms because they cause irritation/rug burn type rawness and then sex is burning, stinging awfulness. And some women experience it from sex without condoms (not enough natural lube) some with all condoms (a

No need to feel stupid - it took me awhile to figure it out too: WoC - woman of colour, PoC - people of colour.

I've encountered way too many feminists who feel they need to "free Muslim women from their patriarchal" culture and that all Muslim women need to stop wearing a hijab because the act in and of itself is oppressive to them. This kind of thing is happening right here in Quebec, there's a disgusting Charter of Quebec

I think it's important to look a bit beyond at what these women are saying. Yes, it's misguided, but they are all public figures that perpetuate the notion that "feminist" means "white, middle class, possibly lesbian, woman who is angry, hates men, wants equality at the expense of others". So those of us who *do*

Yup. I'm not a fan of her music, but I saw her recent show in Vegas last april. She's amazing and probably one of the best vocalists of our time.

It's screen time, not just T.V. time, so computer time counts. Are the kids spending anytime in front of computers at school? Do they play with the parent's IPad (or have their own IPad)? My young cousins (6 and 4) spend all their free time in front of the TV or on the computer or IPad, it adds up. Their mother

Yup, I also doubt badminton or ping pong athletes have a jock cultures. I agree with you that the entitlement comes with the sport in context, not the sport itself.

Something that's interesting with your assertion that hockey doesn't have a jock culture shows how these entitled male athletes reside in different sports in different places. So perhaps in the southern united states (Texas for example), hockey players aren't part of this "jock culture that encourages rape culture"

Yes, of course men were important too - the engineers for ENIAC were all men and Alan Turing's crytanalytique work shortened the war by some accounts by two years. But how many people know that much of his team was comprised of women? Back before the 1970's (well the late 1960's) programming was largely considered

Don't feel bad! You love psychology - it would make sense for you to pursue it. You didn't shy away from physics because you thought you couldn't do it because you were female, you chose not to pursue it because you liked something else better. Just because you were good at physics doesn't mean you should do a

Whenever I hear "programming is for guys" I get really annoyed, because historically, programming was a woman's job - it was only in the 1970's that men started to be employed as programmers more and more.

This is what I don't understand about destination weddings: does the couple *really* believe that their friends are into spending a whole week with your families? People want to not only choose their destinations for vacation, but also be in control with who they are spending their vacations with.

I don't understand the fascination... the only time asking to touch a belly isn't creepy is when a 5 year old asks because they are flabbergasted/amazed that there is a small person in there.

Now that it's in context, it makes a lot more sense. It makes me less annoyed that it applies to men as well...I'm sure sporting a $10k watch would make you seem as unsympathetic as a huge engagement ring.

"Take off your giant engagement ring" - did they give a reason? I can understand why they would tell women to do so in interviews (the impression you'd make on old white dude is big ring = rich husband = marriage = babies = lady leaving for maternity leave and not coming back ) but what would that matter with a

I don't know where you live, but there are types of hot yoga that aren't Bikram that are very challenging physically even at beginner stages. They are vinyasa classes in a hot room (not as hot as Bikram). Moksha Yoga is one of the better ones from my experience.
