Even in its bleakest moments in DS9 ST had a vision of s future that has a chance to ultimately be good. If it doesn’t dot hat anymore, ST is just - like any other SciFi today.

I think the important part is that Picard does keep trying to do the right thing even while the rest of the galaxy seems to be in a moral backslide. I think the show is ultimately meant to be about hope even in the face of great adversity/darkness.

Picard is coming across as the antithisis of the Kobyashi Maru scenario. Kirk said he didn’t believe in a no win situation but its fairly arrogant assumption and when he and in turn Picard challenged no win scenarios they always found a third solution to save the day.

You go into the roundabout without the blinker because you’re not changing right or left. Then you turn on the right blinker before you exit to the right (so after the previous exit).

You do not have to signal when entering a roundabout, but you do when leaving it and it is always a right signal when exiting.

The people complaining about the stand are not the target market for this machine.

I wouldn’t go blaming streaming and Netflix for the failure of independent theaters and the struggles even the chains are having. Those problems have been on going for longer than streaming has been a thing. Fuck it was a major topic back when I was in college and Netflix had just launched as the DVD by mail service.
