Just so you know, I used to work in games QA. I now work in software QA. What you’re saying is utter bullshit.

The topic was money, not the qualification required for those jobs. Yes, tester is an entry level job, but that doesn’t explain why a tester in software QA is paid decently and a tester in games QA isn’t.

Way to be completely off topic, here.

£14,500 a year. Is that decent money for you?

I know. I used to work in games. Now I work in software QA, and the conditions are much better. I have many friends and colleagues who have made the same move and don’t look back. I also still have friends in the games industry and am sorry for them.

So that means they should be paid below minimum wage? (and btw, a mission scripter does need specialized skills)

You know what? That may not always be true. I’ve known people who worked in the games industry and their salary was technically below minimum wage in the UK. (and they were working for a huge studio, not some small indie barely available studio...). So it’s possible people working at McDonald’s may have earned a

Breaking news: the world extends beyond the United States of America ;-)

This article only concerns Japan, and all jobs aren’t represented. Also, that’s just averages on a spreadsheet.

It’s even worse than working in the games industry :-(

No surprise there... the only question one might ask is: why bother announcing a 2017 date in the firt place anyway?

Yeah. Thankfully, I love Persona, so I’m not too bothered. I also very, very rarely get special editions, so it’s not that much of a bother. Nevertheless, if publishers want to push people towards digital rather than physical purchases, it’s about time they release special editions with digital codes. Funny that

I really can’t stand having to put the discs in the console. I like the convenience of having the game on my hard drive and playing it, or any other game, whenever I want.

Yep, there’s the PS4 Pro, and by the time the game comes out, we might have the Scorpio, too... so PC players might not be the only players who enjoy more than 30fps, no?

You do realize that the look of the accessory if inconsequential, since once you have the VR on you don’t see it? In game, the accessory becomes a 1:1 gun, so who cares about what the accessory itself looks like?

Same here. I don’t think what Nintendo’s doing is necessary for every game, but I wish publishers did it at least with Special Editions. You should be able to buy Special Editions that come with the goodies, but the game as a voucher. As it stands, I had to buy P5 twice to get it digital (I buy all my PS4 games

All prices are meaningless. Nothing you buy costs what it costs for a specific reason.

Yeah, but the game thing is rather understandable: people get the game, and instead of getting just the software, they get a box with it. I can dig that. In fact, I wish game developers did this more often, particularly for special editions (I get all my games on PS4 digital now, but I wanted to get the special

Is the movie out? ;-)
