Great article. The gibberish which is a NFL contract is hard to understand. I think a part of his holding out was also the ability to choose where he played. He was almost always going to take the most money, no matter what, but maybe he also wanted the choice of where to play. If he lowered his asking price a…
I hope someone answers this. I have been wondering since the game ended.
That was bananas [boat].
I don’t disagree but I think it’s worth mentioning that the NHL also had a long tradition of sending the vast majority of their draft picks to either Junior, the AHL or the NCAA. The NBA hasn’t really had a functional minor league system. If this means better NBA/D-League integration, that’s probably for the best.
Well that solves the debate, ‘cause a sandwich would never narc you out like that.
While I understand not wanting to buy an Android phone only to abandon it couple weeks later, not doing so makes this less of an apples-to-apples experiment, wouldn’t you say?
Was the Asian kid you?
Are you touched, boy?
That reminds me of the time I got kicked in the head by a brewer ...
Pivotally, Romo’s enthusiasm is contagious. He sounds like he’s genuinely having a good time watching the game. That goes a long way.
I thought about making a similar comment, but figured nobody would care about Bernie Kosar. Glad to see I’m wrong. #dp
Kosar was the absolute best at this.
everyone’s arguing about the worst but nobody is talking about Joe Buck.
Agree 100%. There is something refreshing about a color guy who confidently predicts the action, and is actually RIGHT most of the time. Say what you want about Romo, that second part is rare in most NFL booths.
I actually love Romo’s commentating (I generally hate commentators because they’re all fucking boring).
This. And also just how bad all the other retired QBs are at this job in comparison.
Bernie wasn't drunk, that's just how he sounds after having his brain rammed into his skull for years on end.
Bernie’s was a little different, too. He was more into identifying the defensive coverage in real time which I really loved. “Defense is showing cover 3 here... and now safety moved too early and gave away that it was actually 2-deep.” That kind of stuff, which was awesome. #dp
