That has to be one of the crappiest shows ever made, it's right up there with Devils Ride. The Discovery Channel & other history & learning channels are getting almost as bad as MTV now, they used to have tones of science & natural world based programming but now it's mostly fake fiction garbage.
Yes you can. I've seen it many times like that in the desert and back in the day, in some areas of Spain. It's even more impressive in person. It feels so close you may think you can touch them.
