I don’t know why they didn’t just follow the book’s ending, which was way more unsettling to me, though maybe not enough “resolution” for the end of a Hollywood flick. Just seemed like a twist for the sake of a twist.

I’ve decided to completely ignore any basic in reality of criminal investigation for this show, and it’s made me enjoy it a lot more, but last night’s episode was still a bit much in terms of even a lower expectation of believable fiction.
