Well put. That’s about where I land, too.

Maintaining DS as a separate brand seems more expensive than just merging it back into Citroen.
Do you have children?
So, for $8 you get a device that makes the car more attractive to buyers. It builds value. It’s an easy, quick little thing for a salesman to demonstrate to a potential buyer on a showroom floor that makes the car and even the brand more attractive.
I cannot fault you on that AT ALL.
This is one of those weird ND deals that I’d honestly consider in spite of myself.
I’m a support tech and I never knew this. Thanks!
$3,500 is fine for this car. You could triple that back just parting it out.
It was arguably the most ambitious custom build ever.
I think the Sky will be the real collectible over the Solstice (though I’m sure that’s destined for a lot of classic love in the future, too).
Also: my dad had a ‘76 F-250 crew cab with the 460 and it was... prone to issues, let’s say.
If the ad is to be believed (never a slam-dunk, granted), this is a great truck. Even potentially collectible. But it’s not pristine and that shot of the engine bay gives me serious pause. Sadly, ND by a fair margin.
I’ve seen a couple of Defenders in the wild and on first glance I think the owner has left the Monroney sticker in place.
As much as I honestly love this car (it’s one of my favorite Ferraris), and as much as I honestly like this particular example, that shot of the engine bay is nasty. Something of a red flag.
I, for one, think your little EV beater is ADORABLE.
Pretty much Ford’s equivalent of the K-car.
*sigh* I miss mainstream 2-doors... Even that one looks gratifyingly graceful.
They’ve priced this well. It’s a good price, but not SO good that it raises red flags. NP.
I mean, we can walk and chew gum at the same time. The public charging infrastructure isn’t going to just appear fully-formed, there will need to be a market to justify it.
Co-sign on all of this. It’s an amazing shape that is distinctive in its own right.
