I’d love to see Ford use the Futura name again, but apparently Pep Boys managed to steal the trademark.

Yeah, I think this nails it. Pretty much the largest volume-production car.
I have to say, the murdered-out look and the red taillights look pretty damn tasty.
This example is the “date rape” edition
Mind you, truck drivers get a whole slew of deductions that most workers don’t get, like per diem food and accommodation write-offs (even if they’re staying in their sleeper)
What struck me about the new Escape is how much it resembles the latest-gen Focus wagon, just a little taller. Not a horrible thing.
Some of us actually like living in the city.
Yeah, I’ll bite. It’s in nice shape and I don’t even mind the blackout treatment. These were cool-looking little units and drove decently. NP.
Honestly, on most cars now the AC will come on WITH the defroster.
The smaller the interior volume of a vehicle, the more your breath is going to affect the interior air. Simple as that.
Sadly, yes, that’s a decent market price for an unrestored Euro-spec M3 in a collectible color.
I’m about to drive my Frontier 4x4 about 1,500 miles south on the Alaska Highway next week, about half the distance with no cell coverage. I’ll bring:
I feel bad that I can’t vote in favor of this, because I love the idea. Execution looks better-than-average, too, but... A) Basic “someone else’s project” applies here and B) Stupid little bugs that are easy enough to fix that you wonder why the seller didn’t address them himself.
You have captured my feelings about this car PERFECTLY.
For what it is, it’s fine, and I’m going NP on it. Not my kind of fine, but it’s clean, mildly collectible and cool in its way.
As with virtually any such claim, YMMV. Someone who’s only driving 3 miles to work a couple of days a week in Arizona might well be able to power this almost exclusively on solar. Edge case? Sure, but I’m willing to bet that user actually exists somewhere, unlike pretty much any other solar car proposal I’ve ever seen.
Let’s just say this is somewhat less bullshitt-y than usual. That solar option is conceivably usable for most users, even if it’s not going to give anyone 100%. Also, much of the benefit they’re claiming comes from low weight. Given that, I don’t think their claims stretch reality as much as we usually see from…
The Dart and the Chrysler 200 were honestly very good cars, and had Chrysler done anything even close during the D-C years it would be a very different landscape for them right now.
That ‘60s Continental was maybe the most beautiful American car of the decade. I’m not into classics/collectibles, but if I had a chance to own a ‘60s Connie convertible I’d strongly consider it.
Had a couple of beautiful big near-lux cars. First was a ‘71 Chrysler 300 4-dr hardtop with a 440. It had been a single-owner car and kept meticulously. Best-sounding AM radio ever, too. Felt like you could land a helicopter on the hood.
