icloud photos is really not great, especially if you try to do... well anything other than put photos there, that’s why i went with google

I think it’s mostly just the fact the servers are a bit slow and it takes a while/seems to tend to error out

yup, it really seemed like it was going to be cool for both photo storage AND even social stuff, then it kind of just did both poorly for while. now, it seems relatively abandoned beyond general maintenance, but who knows, maybe verizon will give it new life

yeah, I imagine that would take hundreds of hours. I had ~10,000 and it took an insanely long time to download them all, them upload them elsewhere

yeah, absolutely, I kind of glossed over that part in the first part when I talked about workflow, but learning a NEW thing is absolutely a pain in the ass, especially when it’s something you don’t really care a TON about

yeah, I’ve heard the same thing about 500px, and actually I should have pointed out in the post that I don’t use/didn’t use/have never used the social component of Flickr, I used it solely for storage

yeah i get those from mine too. student loan services also do that, but if I remember right they at least started including info in the From line now... but I also don’t ever read those messages so I might be mistaken
