Been a while Groupthinkers, but I could really do with your help with revenge on a really creepy guy who would not stop harassing me at a Christmas event I was helping at this weekend.
So I had a lecture today within my Advocacy and Discrimination module about gender. It was depressing.
I got a job offer in France to run a children's programme at a campsite there in the summer!
A new BBC documentary aired on Monday night here in the UK shows a disgusting example of everyday attacks on a person because of their skin tone.
This is a day late now, but this commercial is my favourite one of the year for Valentine's day. It warmed even my cold cold heart.
(Apologies if someone else has already posted this, it is just so unbelievably awesome!)
Compliments are interesting things.
So I live a melodramatic life. I will try to be brief as possible. I live with my ex, who broke up with me 6 months ago, his girlfriend and a ton of other couples (and three other single people who mostly keep themselves to themselves) in a university halls of residence. The problem I have here in England is the people (largely from Northern Ireland, but also from the home of Cheryl Cole, Newcastle, and from Scotland) is that the people I live with use more subtle racism on a regular basis. I honestly believe they don't hate people of racial minorities and our university is about 40%…
