I like “Return of the King” but no way should it have beaten “Master and Commander” for best picture. They should have given Peter Jackson a special achievement award for the trilogy, because M&C was the better movie vs RotK.

It changes things a lot. Who are you trying to kid, and why?

Ah yes, another entry in the “This looks cool and I will get to it once I have finished this other thing I am - oh wait it’s cancelled now” list of Netflix shows. It’s like if you don’t watch it inside of a week, it doesn’t count. (Also, a profit model built solely on increasing subscribers is doomed from the outset.)

My answer for this used to be Firefly, but the more time goes on the more convinced I am that Whedon would have somehow @#$&ed it up or that the current state of his legacy would have tainted a longer run (Charisma Carpenter and Angel, for example).

Yeah fair. Like, I love Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time to death but to someone who didn’t play them in the 90s it’s harder to recommend. The SNES games, on the other hand, are still great.

If you truly believe that the NSA gave up any kind of surveillance capabilities, you need to schedule a CT scan.

Go suck some more CCP dick with your whataboutism

On its face, there’s nothing inherently wrong with the word “females”, but these people ALWAYS refer to men as “men” and never “males”, but refer to women more often as “females”. If I see the word females, I immediately looks for the word males. It’s never there for these people.

If it was really about privacy concerns, they should do something about companies like Facebook and Google packaging and selling vast amounts of data to anyone that wants to buy it.

Counterpoint: any app that has the algorithm and data collection that TikTok has probably should be considered a national security threat when it’s owned and run by a government, no matter who the government is.

I mean, sure, but something does need to be done. China basically has a direct conduit to pump disinfo and misinfo into millions of people’s brains if they want to. It’s like Facebook on steroids but controlled by a rival nation state.

It should be a bipartisan decision, as it is a danger to the US.

If you want a frame of reference to compare the two, I did most of Odyssey (97%/ 88hrs of the base content according to my Ubisoft account and like, 1/4 of the DLC) before I gave up.

You can’t go and say a game where you play a Cop is worrying and then say GTA isn’t worrying or any other game, I know you kind of made that point yourself. We can’t do this shit. It’s a game, like any other game out there. We can’t pick and choose what is okay for there to be games of because then it opens up

It’s strange because for me to get the best value out of GamePass I completely ignore new releases on it or first party games as they will be there the longest. I am still struggling to get through the backlog of other games on there which I only interrupt if there is a game leaving soon I want to play.

Game Pass is a great fit for this game, I think.  I like Roiland’s humor in small doses, but after awhile it gets a bit grating.  So on Game Pass I can fire it up, play for maybe an hour, then go do something else and can say that I’m having fun with it for the most part.  But if I paid $60 I think I’d be kind of

Took me a few reads but I think the first sentence was meant to be sarcastic and they’re actually happy with the games that Game Pass has. (I, too, am extremely happy with Game Pass and if it manages to prove that AAA gaming is overrated and overvalued and we get a renaissance of incredible indie games, then more

People like the games on Gamepass but if you think about it, isn’t that BAD, actually? I hope the surgery to dig the stick out will be successful, thoughts and prayers.

Vampire Survivors could be added to the list. An action game with no attack button, enemies stolen right out of Castlevania, and an aesthetic that screams early 90s MS-DOS is somehow one of the best, most addictive games of the year.
