I love how players that do this type of thing immediately jump to the whole “I wasn’t trying to injure him” schtick. Regardless of whether or not you were trying to injure the guy, you have to know that this type of hit is at best extremely dirty and at worst career-ending.

Sounds like perfect weather for a prestigious quadrennial soccer tournament!

“Snitch” is a very interesting word to use here. It’s almost always used to refer to a person who informs to the police on another person’s criminal or otherwise illicit/immoral activities. Which seems totally appropriate in this context, of course. I’m just surprised that Geraldo is essentially admitting the

When you’re from South Carolina and a woman it’s a survival skill. She’s had a lifetime of practice.

Like maybe they’d be the son of a famous admiral. A decorated fighter pilot who served in combat and become a heroic prisoner of war. That sort of thing.

I can’t wait until the whistleblower’s identity is finally revealed, and we find out he’s a career CIA employee/veteran with the sort of resume the MAGAts and right wing normally fap themselves into a frenzy over, and we then have to watch these idiots compare him to Benedict Arnold and probably Judas Iscariot without

Love how he refers to the CIA agent, who was assigned for this very specific task (monitoring the President’s communications), as a “rotten snitch.”

Have to imagine that half of Ainsley Earhardt’s job is just to not roll her eyes at all the pseudo-masculine posturing she sees around her. It’s like every man who goes on that show immediately starts presenting like a mandrill.

The few Trump voters I know personally are largely wealthy country-club Republicans who dislike Trump but “love his policies”. They appear to honestly believe the mainstream of conservatism is still based on an ethical understanding of gentleman’s honor — which is in its own way truly no less delusional than the

I remain utterly perplexed that anyone in America doesn’t understand how this entire administration functions exactly like a mobbed-up asshole.

to talk about “civility in politics”

Also, and this is key here, the president has stated the whistleblower should be put to death. This person’s life and liberty is in danger because the NYT were so thirsty for clicks they set aside their journalistic integrity (again).

Want to know why they didn’t reveal the source of the anonymous op-ed? Because someone at the NYT wrote it.

Also, was it even a question? Of course it was the fucking CIA, and since they’re mostly dudes anyway, that’s not even a stretch. Did people seriously think it was a janitor or something?

Agreed. I also hate the general idea that shitty business choices only matter if they affect the bottom line. Just do the right thing as the default, dammit.

The NYT may be a “paper of record”.

Bingo. It’s a matter of conscience, not economic pressure. If I object to your business practices, I need to not support you because I need to live by my principles. The end.

While it’s certainly bad PR, it doesn’t appear to pose a significant threat to the Times’ business

“[W]e wanted to provide information to readers that allows them to make their own judgments about whether or not he is credible.”

Nothing will change but i, for one, am greatly enjoying the curtain being pulled back on the fact that money /= intelligence and/or worth.
