I was honored to have Patricia on the team all these years and will miss her a great deal. In announcing her departure to the team, I tried to sum up what a great talent she’s been, and I wanted to share that here, publicly, with Kotaku readers as well:
I remember House of the Dead 2. I grew up on Virtua Cop and Terminator 2: The Arcade Game, so I didn’t get to enjoy the mad rush of that zombie classic. Like Splatterhouse lovingly mixed with Resident Evil. Looks great. And Ocean Hunter reminds me of a mini-game from the recent Yakuza title (though with not as many…
They said the most likely culprit is a dead motherboard. It just took them awhile to find a replacement model that would work with all my components. Assuming that this is indeed the problem and it arrives within the 3-5 business days they told me, I should have it back by early next week. Theoretically I could have…
As mentioned below, A Way Out.
Insane how much horsepower Konami was able to pull out of the freakin’ Gameboy Advance for that and the other Castlevania games on the system. The little device barely can match most graphic calculators but those games still pull muster.
People knock Fallout 3? I thought 4 was the redheaded stepchild people liked to rag on. I loved 3 at the time. It’s world just felt great. In fact, I’m one of the rare folks who will go to bat for 3 over New Vegas.
Unusually varied week, so I’ll keep this as brief as possible:
So I’ve not really played much of anything beyond Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, but there’s still a lot of resarch to do. With all the writing I’ve been juggling, I feel a bit uncertain about playing too many things right about now (which is funny, given I’ve been feeling the exact opposite problem all year). I got to…
That seems like I would dig it and wasn’t on my radar either. Thanks!
If these leaks turn out to be true, I’m probably going to be disappointed, and I bet a lot of other people will too. But I’ll hold back my judgment until we get the full story.
yikes my dude i forgot about the right to fly without being hassled as envisioned by are founding fathers’
Near Penn and Grand Central? Short notice? $450+
And the more people paying the TSA for the privilege, the longer it’ll be until we can abolish the TSA and their useless security theatre.

Why Sony never dropped the need for those goddamn stupid proprietary memory cards for regular ass sd or micro sd cards in one of the hardware revisions is beyond comprehension. Had they made that single change, I’m fairly certain the Vita could have actually been as successful as it should have been.
Yeah, I wasn’t wholly surprised but at the same time I can see why people who had the Wii/U (and the 3DS, I guess) might feel a little let down. Had I kept the Switch, I doubt I’d have been all that bothered either.
That’s funny, I keep looking at my sword hoping it’s the right one and never considered it was auto-selecting.
“Specifically, I recount the very first time someone did the Take The L on me. I got so mad that I immediately went into the store to buy the emote myself. Then, it became my mission to do it on someone else. I messed it up the first couple of times, meaning that I was freakin’ elated when I pulled it off. Then I felt…
Fortnite’s emotes have taken on a life of their own: in the last two weeks, I’ve seen kids and adults replicating the game in real life. If you watch sports, you’ve likely seen goals or good plays celebrated through emotes. And if you play Fortnite, you’ve definitely had some jerk dance over your cold, lifeless corpse.
Yeah, that’s like my boss asking me if I’ve been drinking on the job and I reply, “Oh, I’ve only had four or five pints, I’m fine.”
