I dated a couple men in their 40s when I was 28/29. They told me they don’t like to date women their own age because they are all “desperate” to have babies which makes them “psycho.”

Most likely because they don’t have established careers and connections in the industry. They don’t want to ruin their chances of success by making powerful enemies. Obviously an imbalance of power which doubles down on the ick factor of these guys.
The Greys are absolutely filled with shining examples right now.
Whenever I mock these men or the internet mocks these men, it’s hilarious that every single defense doesn’t address the criticisms. Yeah, we all know these relationships are consensual and adults can do what they want. None of that addresses the fact that these men are insecure, pathetic, and sad because they won’t…
Brits seem so much better than Yanks at celeb interviews that go goofy. Beth Hammond’s chat show interview of Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling for Blade Runner 2049 is legendary.
What’s funny/sad is that he wrote about being a bad boss in 2015 (to some credit he was trying to change)--but it was still allowed to run toxicly till now. I’d read a mention of it now and again, but foodie, like most consumers of things, don’t care overall.
I first learned of this fellow from his committed use of local, findable, greens and other items from the soil and sea. But your point is accurate - he’s got at least a nine-month wait-list, the bill there for 2 would, I guess, exceed $1000 easily each time if one drinks, chefs are wishing to work there from all over…
Let’s do some math: First, we’ll double the $500 for the wine pairing, then we’ll assume 100 covers/night and multiply that by 300, which gives us a gross of 30 million/year, which yeah.
“Nobody wants to work anymore. I mean, these beetles aren’t gonna fruit leather themselves.”
“The problem is how to pay [the employees] enough to afford children, a car and a house in the suburbs.”
Sony is definitely getting some weird favoritism here. The fact that everything they have said they are worried about Microsoft doing is straight from the Sony playbook of shit they’ve been doing for more than a decade is pretty clearly hypocritical. People keep pointing to Microsoft being a bigger company ignoring…
Thank you for the insight. I did suspect that this guy is as problematic as his client. And I truly don’t think all lawyers are sociopaths. I’m good friends with one who is one of the most generous people I know.
And still people will ask why women don’t speak up. This attorney’s entire line of questioning broadcast in bold neon why she hadn’t reported this sooner — she was being blackmailed, and in fact the blackmail continued right there on the witness stand, in front of a judge, who sat there and allowed it.
Violent Christmas Movie? Very naughty.
I’m interested in seeing a little more of Kurt Russell as Snake Plissken.
as a lawyer (not a courtroom litigator but still a lawyer) I feel obliged to speak up and say NO, you aren’t required to check your humanity at the door LOL, in fact a big part of the prosecution’s case requires humanity—showing the trauma this dickstain left these women with. This particular scumbag lawyer is part of…
why not both? LOL
JFC. I get that lawyers are required to check their humanity at the door and defend their client, but this isn’t defending the client. This is just being fucking ghoulish.
Stories like this are the reason rational and compassionate judges are important. From a recent ruling from the Canadian Supreme Court:
She voluntarily identified herself as Jane Doe #4 to the press. The court is still required by statute to identify her that way because of the nature of the offense, the press is not. No violation of ethics here.
