Yeah, the fact that no (live-action) movie has done a President Luthor plot is pretty unforgivable. I also don’t understand why we haven’t gotten a power armor/Legion of Doom Lex in any of these things yet.

Yeah, a similar “yeah no shit” is if you have HBO through any number of television providers (I have DirecTV, but this works with other providers), you can use your provider login in to login to HBOMax. That’s not really been apparent to a lot of people even though they tried to publicize, because this whole rollout…
“A just okay script” is super generous in my mind, which I assume means you must be a very nice person. I thought that script was a dumpster fire. Rerunning the hammy Gene Hackmanesque real estate scheme in a movie that otherwise seemed to want operate on a really quiet, intellectual level was not a great move.
(Which reminds me — if Universal had ever been serious about its Dark Universe concept, they would’ve ended the 2017 Mummy with Cruise discovering that the SHIELD-type organization in the movie was run by Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz’s characters from the Sommers Mummy series, who’d become immortal in order to…
He seems very at peace at Koala Kai.
Actual LOL. I only wish I had more than one star to give.
Again, I wouldn’t ever make a blanket statement declaring him bad. Snyder does a lot of things very well. I just think--as you suggest--he’s a really poor fit for the characters, but Superman in particular. I wanted to like Man of Steel, but the criticisms of that film are very valid.
I agree. A bad situation for an artist I like, but a dude who had already shown he could crack under pressure and be a dick (if you’re a big fan, you may be aware he had some history of this kind of stuff on his TV shows, but Buffy and Angel in particular).
Kinda how I feel about it as well. I still like Whedon, and probably a bit too much is being made of this, but I don’t think he’s innocent. Just sounds like he was being an asshole. He was still “Joss Whedon, writer/director of ‘The Avengers’” when all this went down. I have to imagine that shit went to his head.
So the “gross, unprofessional behaviour” would be Whedon being mean to someone Fisher liked...
According to Kevin Smith (who only talked to people who worked on the movie), that’s pretty much exactly what happened. Joss was pretty dismissive of the work that had already been done, but he was working with the people who had done it. Also, he yelled at Gal Gadot when she refused to film the scene where the Flash…
It’s a tribute to his daughter who passed away during the filming of the movie. Apparently it was very meaningful to them.
I just took the time to watch that video. Really fascinating and informative. Thanks!
Can I just skip seasons one and two? Because I’ve tried with Discovery, and I just can’t.
According to Discussing Film, Maryann Brandon (Star Trek Into Darkness, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker) has been hired to edit Thor: Love and Thunder.
Why doesn’t the cat fall (or jump) out of the bag?
I’m glad we’re all dragging Deutsche Bank for this, but fuck Gizmodo and fuck you most of all, Rhett Jones, for spreading this sort of classist horseshit.
All I’m saying bud is that there’s still good stuff happening at DC if you give them the chance. And the 101-issue run Williamson did is most definitely not a Death Metal tie-in.
Dark Nights: Death Metal has been way more fun that it has any business being.
Please, I just need to know if she has an irrational, deeply personal hatred of Wally West or not.
