“Wow, who could have seen that coming with Google?” -- no one ever

Advertising pays for news, the cover price is an insignificant contributor.

Serous question: how much media do you consume that you actually pay for? In particular, news outlets? Do you have any subscriptions to any major news outlets anywhere in the world? I'm talking internationally recognized news, like NYT, Guardian, LAT, or anyone at all? Not that I support Murdoch, but the sentiment

Another good idea: have a password. This is a word only you and your kid would know. This way, if your kid does wander off, and you send someone to help look for them, your kid can verify that this stranger was indeed sent by you. Happened to me as a kid. A guy came up and said my mother was looking for me. I stopped,

I'm on the hunt for a solid projector that I can use for backyard movie/gaming nights, budget of around $1500. Every time I see a review here, it's unfortunately not the type I'm looking for. Anyone (Catie, hive mind) have any ideas?

From the article: "all 30 teams" which means they're still missing.

I didn’t see Toronto on the team select screen. Am I going blind?

Problem is, nobody has pockets deep enough to make that crazy high-end phone. Samsung’s profit margins on their high-end phones are shockingly small (mainly because, unlike Apple who controls every single aspect of its phone construction - even down to the modem now if rumours are true), and they make ALL the money on

Respectfully, if you're thinking of spending $1800 on a TV, you are already in a place of privilege. And if you're already thinking of dropping that kind of coin, saving for a couple of extra weeks/months to make up the difference between this and the LG... It's not even a discussion. Hopefully you'll be using the TV

No, it means I'll never purchase an Apple Silicon-based device. Apple has always wanted to be as vertically-implemented as possible. They did it with their phones (which is why I'm typing this on my Galaxy Fold after getting sick of iOS restrictions), and I guarantee you this is coming for their computers. Everything

And this is why my relationship with Apple computer products is over. I cannot stand the idea of not being able to use my computer as I see fit. It is absolutely ridiculous that I will, one day, not have this control. Mark my words: Your regular apps are next.

THANK YOU!!! I only wish my wife’s aunt saw this before giving our ADHD-addled 8-year old two buttons: One that screams different versions of yes, and another being the “no” equivalent. Only thing I’m happy about is he’s using them so damn much that the batteries will run out on the bloody things sooner than later.

The fact that there are related stories (“More From Luigi’s Penis”) made me smile more than it had a right to. Also, Luigi is a weenie.

Matze, a self-described libertarian, said on Sunday that absolutely nobody wants to do business with him.”

I hope you're right though your last sentence sounds like hearing "My uncle works for Nintendo!" on the playground as recess.

You are all done. Like, all of America. Put a fork in it. For years you all tolerated this fuckwit. Yes, even you, Democratic voter. You dumped tea into a harbour and started a war about it, and all you could try to do this time is knit fucking hats. No, you are ALL cowards. You let this happen. You let your country

It’s not. It’s quite slickly produced, actually!

See, that's your problem. Soundbars rely on walls and ceilings to bounce their sound off in order to be most effective. Without it, all you're getting is a better quality sound than your TV speakers but not much else. I have a friend with the q950t without a wall on one side and it works very well. But in my enclosed

That’s absolutely fair to say about the previous generation. That’s why I waited. The Q950t is a big step up because it has two speakers firing at 45-degree angles as well as 90 degrees for direct side audio reflection. The whole bar has something like 20 discrete speakers for shockingly precise object placement.
