The AV Club review of this asked “Ts this the first Yorgos Lanthimos film that can be called genuinely fun?”

I didn’t get around to seeing the Lobster but I really want to see this. Olivia Colman is magnificent in everything I’ve seen her in and she looks amazing here too.

Absolutely there’s a double standard, but I really don’t think it makes sense to paint the Women’s March participants with a broad negative brush as ashamed Trump supporters or that kind of thing. Millions and millions of women voted against Trump, and all evidence is that they were the vast majority of the

I think at 52% (or 53%, depending on source) of White female voters at least one of the marches had to have some small amount of (likely former?) previous Trump supporters.

Calling for Al Franken’s resignation, however, is not among the reasons to think Gillibrand might not be the right person for the job. In fact, if she’s pissing off these absolute fucking ghouls—whose support she’d probably only have anyway if she promised to shut down any kind of left economic agenda in the

No, that’s his brother Andrew, governor of New York. Who is by far the worst Cuomo brother, but that’s not saying much.

Everyone on Splinter was put into the greys a few weeks ago, myself included. I just haven’t been ungreyed yet.

The business executives and investors and politicians who cooperate in this system are not stupid. Many of them are very intelligent. They know what is happening. They just don’t care.

.... That was brilliantly dumb and I love it. Five million points to you.

I’m not ready to call for her to be removed from the bench but there is literally no doubt in my mind that she should face serious a disciplinary investigation and sanctions.

Well hey, the last ruling said that the judge wasn’t going to reach the First Amendment question since Acosta didn’t get Due Process before his press credentials were revoked. I guess the White House was itching to get a ruling on that!

They picked that picture? She looks very uncomfortable and unclear about where to put her head that’s not just smushing it face down into the deck of the yacht.

Ooooh that makes sense to me. And they’re positioned all facing different directions so it maximizes the coverage. Clever!

There’s usually way more Special Infected spawning during that event, and often more than one tank. Having all four do the medpack trick at the same time must somehow block certain triggers for Special Infected to spawn. Just a guess, though!

Personally I’d love a Duckworth/O’Rourke ticket.

Yeah, but you wouldn’t actually do that if you had the chance.

Even in my blackest moments I haven’t ever genuinely wished that Republican voters were stopped from voting.

I fell in love with Origins primarily because of the way it brought Ancient Egypt to life for me. The Alexandria it presents is absolutely breathtaking, and it’s the little details that continued to amaze me, like how there were sidewalks and crosswalks made out of elevated stones, and that the NPCS use them.

Even a former Congressman, Patrick Murphy, had his vote rejected on a signature mismatch! The Republicans’ refusal to admit that signature mismatching is a disgrace to democracy is disgusting, like their ongoing attempts to call “counting votes” an “attempt to steal an election.”

That’s amazing. But I’m sorry you have to go to Georgetown even for work. It’s by far the most insufferable part of DC.
