I just got back from a cat shelter. I have depression and somebody recommended going there and hanging out with kittehs. It works.

Saw this today and thought people should be informed.

We give more shots than we used to, but the combined antigen load of them is much less. The vaccines are far, far more purified under current standard of technology, so the amount of stimulation is roughly 1/24th of what it used to be, even given the increased number of separate needles.

They did articulate Batman’s hiatal hernia rather nicely, though.

i want to push anti vaxxers down a slippery slope

Mark my words, Marilla.

It’s about what you want it to be and depends on whether you’re THE leader or a co-leader (I’m a co-leader). At a minimum, you attend a couple of scout meetings per month (ours are 1.5 hours long) and help the main leader. Over the years, I’ve taken on more meetings on my own but that still only means I spend a couple

My mother had polio. My MOTHER. I am one generation removed from polio and I get to see how the pain of having suffered that illness has affected her throughout her life. I see the scars that cover her legs from the Braces she had to wear as a child and the surgeries she had to endure. Giant Frankensteinlike like

My mother contracted polio as a toddler. She has vague memories of her treatments, but I clearly remember my aunt telling the story of the day my mom came home and they all cried and cried in relief.

Thanks a lot transphobic jerk. Now I gotta magnanimous and shit today.

jfc, it’s like, mind-blowing how awesome they fucking are when their counterpart has simply been throwing homophobic hissy-fits for the last 30 years.

Well, I’m not an atheist and in 38 minutes the president taught me more about the nature of grace than years of sermons and religious education ever has.

good, bigot.

My family is Scottish, and so every funeral ends with Amazing Grace played on bagpipes. I cry like a kid with a broken leg every time.

Mr. Howard, should our paths ever cross, I’ll be happy to buy you the beverages of your choice.

I think he’ll be more fun when he is an ex-Prez. Obama is only truly free in moments like this, when he gets to unleash his emotions and speak. The presidency shackles him. And there is NO chance he pulls a Bush II and hides away doing crappy paintings. He’s going to do something, and it will be a blast.

I teared up more than once watching Obama. Not ashamed to admit it. Everything about today was beautiful.
