That in itself is not problematic.

No problem. Of course the 195th is still developing. SMFH

Nobody is asking you to empathize. But showing a little sympathy after an attempted assassination of Senators and Congressmen is what decent people do, regardless of political party.

I wonder if Alex Jones is going to deny that today’s shooting happened and call it a false flag.

Gun control is a dead issue and political suicide for any politician. It has been since 20 dead kids proved nothing will change. It’s about time we realize that instead if asking why nothing gets done ad infinitum.

Oh, I’m with you. Trump calls this a “tragedy,” around 20 minutes after it happened, yet it looks like no one is going to actually die from their wounds, not even the Capitol Police officers who were ignored by all and sundry during their initial comments about the shooting. Yet when two bystanders who stepped in to

Naziism and communism both started out as ideas, look how dangerous both are.

That’s exactly right. Shootings are terrible, and we must urgently organize to remove or at least reduce weapons in America. Gloating about our political opponents getting shot is no way to even think about stating on this project.

I loved how Republicans response to the Kathy Griffin bit was to clutch their pearls so tightly their knuckles turned white and hound the offender out of the public eye, but when faced with actual violence (Greg Gianforte) they happily voted the guy into office.

I put the disclaimer there for a reason. I’m not blaming her at all. I think this is (in all likelihood) completely unrelated to that picture. What I’m doing is using this instance as a point of departure to an earlier conversation.

I intend to be ALL the dicks about this.

Well said. There’s a grown up in the room everyone!

You were being a dick with your first comment even though you tried to pretend in your second you weren’t. At least now you’re being an honest dick. People like you are the problem.

That’s adorable.

This is the result of the normalization of violence against your political opponents that the #resistence crowd has been nurturing for months, assisted by the media and celebrities (Kathy Griffin included). Eventually punching “nazis” in the face as a form of protest just doesn’t do it for someone anymore. This is the

Thank you for bringing some reason and decency to this.

HAHAHA nope. In the NYT coverage one of the players said something along the lines of how awful it was to get shot at when he didn’t have his gun with him. Nope, now we’ll see gun manufacturers making special sport editions or some other such nonsense.

I’m not glad it happened, but hopefully this stems the left’s growing fascination with political violence (punch nazis guys!). This is where you end up.

Disclaimer: I’m obviously not blaming Kathy Griffin for this.

Not to mention that Naziism is a major boner-killer.
