The Keaton Batman was many things but grounded wasn’t one of them.

I can totally see it. Burtons Batman always had a sci-fi goth undertone à la Metropolis (the film) and Caligary - I could see the city evolving into a more cyberpunk-ish version of itself.

I like the “theory” a lot (I put the quotes because it isn’t really a theory, but a way to read the canon of the movies), specially because it allows Michael Bay’s The Rock as part of the Bond canon, if you take Connery’s character as a retired 007.

Oh yes! This set. I really can’t complain, this is the set my parents bought for me as a kid and I watched the fuck out of all of them. I’d honestly say this and the new toy line they released around the same time were probably the real shot to the arm for the series.
