It’s not a political thing, but it’s completely slimy that sploid puts a watermark on gifs made from someone else’s owned content. It breaks a lot of ethical rules, and they should fucking stop.

Not enough stars on this. The only sensible comment of the whole bunch.
$1.5 trillion could have fixed education in America. Or it could have build high speed rail connecting every major US city. Or it could have made America pothole-free.
Calling something a sovereign nation does not make it so.
I don’t think anyone’s acting like that. Just like “due process” won’t eradicate wrongful imprisonment.
See below from ajdragoon re: history being written by the victors. That’s true- but also:
A lot of the sound mixers I know who have them juice them up with a little flair!:
You say “flat” sound, and I say “how the music was mixed.” But sure, personal preference.
I own a pair from back when I mixed sound for film. So does every other sound mixer.
Have you asked yourself why these kids have access to the “good lawyers?”
You’re never going to get through to this one.
What’s the advantage of looking real?
I’d assume so.
The original article was referencing that this was a 60fps playback? You have a 23fps.
Well neener neener neener to you!
I’m calling bullshit on this. I worked as a video editor for years. I, personally, cannot delineate pixels on a 4k display. I just can’t. Not without crushing my face up to it. Yes. 8k would be great if we could get it into a VR setting.
There’s this wealth of research out there that people can tell the difference between analog and digital playback, even though technically the only difference between the two is that the analog version carries frequencies that the human ear can’t even hear.
That’s nowhere near the file size of the full-res video. Did you explore the metadata of the file you downloaded?
I’m gonna go ahead and call bullshit on this one. 4k? Sure. I see the benefit... when we’re talking about 48 inch screens in a living room setting. But 4k has been used for years now as a theatrical projection standard. And it’s been juuuuust fine.
The phone will never replace the wallet. No sane person will habitually leave the house knowing that all of their access to liquidity could potentially “run out of batteries.”
