I liked Straight Outta Compton a lot, but ultimately film that went further into detail and wasn't as flowery would have been better.

The thing is though, having seen the film 2 days ago, Dre DOESN'T come off very good in it. He is portrayed as a musical genius, but otherwise he's characterized as a mindless follower of whoever has the money.
