It was my understanding that places like Goodwill launder everything even if you bring it to them clean so there is no reason why they can't be donated.

Unfortunately due to some HEAVY gerrymandering, the state house is extremely red. They have an ultra, super majority. If the district lines were drawn more fairly, the state house would have a much more even split, like it looks for national elections.
