That man looks angry. I think he’s mad because the robot had seen more of the United States than he will ever see in his lifetime.

Chaplain Grimaldus. After fighting Orks on Armageddon for months, including a two month siege at The Temple of the Emperor Ascendant (kind of like Notre Dame, but with more grimdark for you 40k neophytes), all of his retinue had fallen, and every other military organization abandoned the area as lost, but Grimaldus…
I always wonder about the process by which Warhammer 40K characters get created. I imagine it as going something like this.
“OK, this new dude. He’s like eight feet tall. Entirely covered with muscles. But you can’t see the muscles because he’s wearing this impenetrable armor that weighs five hundred pounds.”
“So,…
Hm, maybe I should pick up his book then. he sounds interesting. Although I know less than nothing about Warhammer other than I keep seeing armor mods for other games copying them.
Ehhh, I dunno. Woodblock printing has been around for centuries even in the face of superior printing techniques, there’s not much reason to think it’ll disappear. It’s a valued niche artform the world over. I don’t think you’d be able to find these particular pieces again though, which makes them worth saving
“Hey, you’re black, right?”
I’m not trying to be a dick but being 7k short in your final moments of fundraising means something. Whoever donated and pulled it as a major asshole and the dev team certainly didn’t deserve that to happen whatsoever, however, it’s a bit telling being 7k short of your goal in the final moments.
My understanding is that the filmmakers were being cautious because they were preeeeeeeetty sure it might crash. Did I mention the rig is worth a quarter million dollars?
Just watch Brain Games on Netflix and you'll get all of this stuff.
Things like this are why I always, ALWAYS cast doubt on "eyewitness accounts" in news stories. The human mind can be so very easily tricked by small changes in perception. Doesn't matter what side of an argument the eyewitness accounts come from. Unless they can be backed up by hard evidence, like decent-quality…
About 6 or 7 years ago I bought a used Trijocon scope on eBay for a killer price. The thing retailed for well over $1000 and I paid around $300 for it. It was used and beat up but worked perfectly. I thought I got a great deal until 18 months later I receieved a call from some military detective who stated the person…
To be fair, if you were on patrol in the dead of night and your Insight CNVD-T Clip-On Night Vision Device Thermal System fell off, it'd be pretty to hard to locate...
GREAT EBAYER ITEM AS DESCRIBED PUPPET REGIME OVERTHROWN WOULD BUY FROM AGAIN A+++++++++++++++++++++
Anybody remember the Shogun Warrior toys from the late '70s/early '80s? For the next Pacific Rim movie, they should come out with a toy line in that size, not aimed at the collector's market but designed for kids and at a reasonable price. I loved my Shogun Warriors when I was little, it'd be great to see a new…
If this day you could 3d print gamesworkshop stuff for cheaper than they sell it
Even as a fan of GW, I have to agree.
I'm now going to compare every purchase decision I make against the equivelant current-going rate of WH40k miniatures.
Tangentially related: The fight scene in the bay where this one and the Chinese robot had their pilots killed? I actually felt a little sick in the gut/sad when I saw in the theatre the first time... it was amazingly well done - an emotional reaction like that is so rare in a movie these days.
When you compare what $100 buys you from Games Workshop, you're practically getting this thing for free.
NASA rocket scientist: Colonel, you better have a look at this picture from the rover.
Colonel: What is it, son?
NASA rocket scientist: I don’t know, sir, but it looks like a giant–
