You’re now just discovering the oil extractor?? They’ve been around at least 25 years and in order to avoid the PITA vacuum ones, go to West Marine and buy one that has a pump motor on it and clip to your battery posts (or a jump box if the battery isn’t underhood) and get the oil good and hot and let ‘er rip.
I had a 505SW8 turbo wagon and miss it dearly. The seats would rival anything today for comfort and long distance support. Shame that Pug didn’t stick around in the States.
Here’s mine. Going on 20 years. Totally original and bought from original owner. Same year as the one my parents had when I was a kid and pictured in front of the park at the end of the street I grew up on in Akron, Ohio. I made a special multi-hour drive to take these photos as a childhood reminder ;)
Funny, almost every day I happen to check the time at 4:56
This. Can you imagine driving your toddler around in one nowadays what with all of the safety nannies and bureaucrats???
Hmm, then I reckon you speak fallacy about your gearhead status mate.
Pininfarina penned the MGB/GT. And yes, in original wire wheeled, steel dash form, it’s beautiful.
“There is a muthafuckin snake on this muthafuckin plane!”
I really, really wish the hipster millenial writers for this site would take a lesson on titling an article. Please stop with the “this will...” or “you will...” titles. Quit being so matter of fact on every goddamn article! Pick up a magazine (yeah, we used to read automotive articles in those), and have a look at…
Some teething problems, mainly software, but overall they seem relatively well screwed together.
I work on em for a living. The Giulia QF is a badass car despite its issues. I expect the Stelvio to follow suit. Granted, I’d rather have the sedan as if I’m in a 500+hp anything, I’d prefer it to be as low to the ground as possible.
Hell, I remember when even brands like Ferrari and Bentley and Rolls-Royce had a presence at Detroit. I also remember flashing my FCA membership card at the rep on the [roped off] Ferrari stand and him then graciously letting myself and my two buddies up into the display where they had a nice private lounge and some…
While I also enjoy the dash mounted rear view mirror, some cars like my old Healey 3000 required the mirror to be mounted on an aftermarket pedestal otherwise the view out the back would be obstructed with the top down.
Only shifter needed...
God that thing is hideous...and will be in the breakers yard in 10 years. Thankfully, they made the 560SEC.
Please share this article with the state of Ohio fucking retard bureaucrats who say it’s illegal to warm your car up. Yep, get right in ‘er, frosted windshield and all, and give ‘er hell!
I bought a 456M, 355GTB and a 348tb all at the bottom of their depreciation curves. Will add a 360 Modena (gated) in 2018 as they aren’t getting any cheaper.
Good article and I agree 100% but you left one of the best sounding N/A V8s off the list; the 4.7 (or 4.2 in earlier guise) Maserati F136 engine in the GranTurismo and Quattroporte V. My daily driver is an ‘07 QP and damn does it sound magnificent, even with the stock pipes. Add a Tubi and it’s total game on.
355GTS, duh. The most modern incarnation of a 308.
