I’ve got a great name for them: “Lady A’s Kitchen.

I’m not even that big a fan of her music (she ‘s just really great!), but Dolly Parton can easily be argued to be one of the twenty finest, most thoroughly admirable Americans alive.

I also like that they have set up a romance for her and Happy.

If you never caught him on The B from Apartment 23 - where he plays a parody of himself - you totally should. He has fantastic comedic timing. He was the best part of the show.

The Beek didn’t peak until “Don’t Trust the B—— in Apt. 23.” On that show, he was GOLD. I promise!

“where is she confused?”

I don’t think Joan read the whole article before linking.

I didn’t see it, you’re telling me about it. I don’t read Twitter, I only write on it.

I’m still confused by the Natalie Portman link.

Not only extra time to think but extra time to act. People don’t have to worry about missing a shift to protest, the job is already gone!

Two of his fellow offices sold a t-shirt with the picture of a gun that said “Smoke ‘em,

That second one has made my night, thank you.

The news media/cop relationship is a huge problem, particularly at the local level, which is where most of this stuff is covered. My brother worked as a videographer for a local TV station for a number of years, mostly doing overnights.

I’m normally all about unions, but the police and fire dept unions both need to be busted. This has gone beyond collective bargaining power.

It’s interesting that in a country which hates workers’ unions so much, police unions are so untouchable.

In addition to the brutality, there is also the blatant dishonesty—even knowing that they are surrounded by video cameras, police are routinely misrepresenting what is going on (here, they said the guy tripped and fell, which kind of leaves out an important detail). I hope the news media, which is now the target of
