I really hope you're right. I want the PS4 to be awesome, I really do.

"The cost of developing games is quite high. The costs of developing games for a new console is significantly higher. Smaller Developers will probably stick to PS3/360 Development for the foreseeable future to keep costs low and profitability up."
I know it seems like I'm down on PS4 based on my comments, but I…
I'm personally holding off altogether for a year or two. I don't particularly want to buy anything for my current PS3, as its laser is failing (second one to do this on me) and any content I buy for it won't carry forward. At the same time, I'm gunshy of early adopting on PS4, because early adopters usually end up…
A couple extenuating issues, though. PS2 was a massive, massive hit; the most successful console in the history of gaming, both in software and hardware sales. The PS3, on the other hand, was kind of a dud out of the gates; it didn't get some of its killer exclusives until a good 2+ years into its run, with…
Of course not, but the PS4's lack of backwards compatibility is kind of a new thing. Obviously NES/SNES/N64 and their 90's Sega counterparts also lacked backwards compatibility, but back in those days the hardware manufacturers operated under the pretense that they wouldn't be discontinuing their old consoles just…
"Giving away"
Sounds great, but it's kind of a bummer that it's coming out a month or so before a console that won't play it. I'm curious how fall-release PS3 games will handle this issue; launch with a PS4 version as well? DLC code in the PS3 version to DL the PS4 version? Latter would be great but is pretty unlikely, because…
It looks great. Excellent match to her dark makeup too, makes for a very striking contrast.
Yeah, asparagus and hollandaise are a great combo. Had this a few years ago at an interesting brunch. Yummmm.
Hey, if you've got the cash more power to ya. I absolutely cannot bring myself to spend more than $100 on a ten year old device like that. (Android device with a PS3 controller and GameKlip works much better for these purposes >_> )
They're hella expensive, as they're even rarer than the micro. They came out well after the DS and weren't really pushed that much or advertised, so their true benefit wasn't immediately clear and they were gone from stores pretty quickly. It's a shame, I want one badly but not $200 badly.
Or the glorious backlit GBA SP, the definitive way to play GBA, original GB and GBC games.
I'm pink with jealousy. I made the terrible choice to skip this thing for the micro(ha!)second it was available in stores, and it was gone within months. I've always wished I'd bought one. (a buck fifty is a bit much though, youch)
You mean in terms of actual Nintendo-published games? Eternal Darkness has tons of religious symbology, all of it used in a negative context (that Earth's religions are all "the flailings of primitive minds" manipulated by the malevolent Ancients, the only "gods," to control and subvert humanity); not to mention a…
God damn it. We all know this is never going to actually happen, because Silicon Knights is in utter disarray, and Dyack is apparently not a good commander-in-chief. But whyyyy does this article have to come out and raise my hopes?
It's a shame this game is broken and shittily programmed, because conceptually it sounds extremely enjoyable. A vulgar, hip hop version of Elite Beat Agents? Yes please! Wasted potential.
Bowdlerizing is censorship. Did you mean something else?
Some of this shit is just totally random, though. I don't think one single person would have been offended if they'd left the churches as churches, or if the hanging blade had stayed a blade. It's more of a case of Japanese business execs trying to second-guess what Americans would find offensive.
This, so hard. MGS4 doesn't have more dialogue or cinematics than other games of its ilk - Deus Ex: HR is similarly chatty/cinematic, and Skyrim is certainly more sprawling. If MGS4 really fills up an entire BluRay disc, it's only because they didn't bother using much compression because they didn't have to.
"it falls in between gens. Kinda like the Dreamcast did."
