Dead Space 1 was pretty coy with its combat. Full ten minutes of nothing followed by thirty seconds of blistering action, followed by another ten minutes of gut-wrenching suspense and jumping at every shadow.
+1
That's awesome. My wife and I played WoW together for about six years and met a lot of perma-internet friends. I saw a whole bunch of couples form over the years, it was pretty cool. One cross-country hookup turned into a marriage that now has kids. Yay social networking!
Good article, thanks for the background.
I think we're all wondering the same thing here:
I don't know anything about this article's author, what does this mean? A few minutes of googling did not help.
Or drugs! Don't forget drugs. Always viewed through a black-and-white After School Special lens, of course.
You're probably right, but "one in five women has been victims..." sounds extremely odd. "20% of women have been victims..." would have been a better choice for sentence structure, but I guess they figured "one in five" had more gravitas.
I'm glad they haven't tried to shoehorn this IP into a game, I can't imagine it working. I suppose it would make the most sense as some sort of L.A. Noire adventure game with action sections, but I absolutely can't imagine it being any good.
Yeah, I tend to agree. Both Borderlands games were awesome so we know Gearbox doing their own thing can be great. They really need to stop putting their name on crap products though.
I'd say Urban Chaos was mediocre, not awful.
That was my impression, which is why I find these reported issues baffling.
Jesus Christ, seriously? Isn't there some "acts of valor" loophole, distinguished service etc? Does he have to have a demonstrable disability or PTSD to get an honorable discharge? If this is all true it's disgraceful.
I'm assuming he's getting a pitiful pension check. If he is who he claims to be, he should be getting a lot more for what he did, and I don't fault him for wanting the money. My problem is how the hell you verify something like this.
Ehhh I dunno about that. It was definitely true in the 90s, where the NES saw launches four years beyond the Super Famicom. PS2 had a good few years after the PS3's release, but that was mostly because the PS3 took years to take off. As long as the followup consoles sell, the old consoles typically see a tiny…
You're kidding, right? At 8 years, these are the longest-running successful mainstream consoles not to receive a followup in gaming history, beating out even the seven-year Famicom.
Fishy, fishy, fishy. I'm guessing the guy could probably prove he was on SEAL Team 6, but there is absolutely no way he could prove he was the one who fired the killing shot. Until we are able to get our hands on the declassified report, whenever the hell that is (10-25 years, depending), there will be absolutely no…
Came down here to make a Lebowski joke about the top pic. Duly beaten by OP. Well-played, sir.
Love love love that quote.
