Before everyone piles into the comments to TRASH the very notion of simulating a manual, consider this:

somethings up with the site. if i scroll down one line below where the show comments button is something from the root takes over and tells me about black actresses who could play kamala harris. 4 straight damn windows its done that.

Something seriously wrong with this page. It keep automatically sending me to The Root. It’s done it over half a dozen times already. The only way I could completely scroll down and open comments without triggering it was to scroll verrrrrry slowwwwwwly and then wait 30 seconds before clicking on comments.

Doesn’t help that the only advertising they’ve ever done was not to sell cars but to sell shareholders on giving their CEO a $55b payday.

The whole “bumper cover over the headlights” look sure was a design choice. 

I’m definitely interested in a PHEV version of this.

Ford Maverick. I want a small EV pickup that can carry a load when I need it, but I can also park and drive in a city easily. And while half a dozen start-ups have promised something along those lines, none have made it to production, and none even look like they will be any time soon.

This is a guess, but I assume that snake head is the horn. It’s in the right place - similar to where a horn bell was located in earlier automobiles. And there seems to be a tube leading from it, into the front seat.

I don’t understand why anyone wouldn’t just charge their PHEV all the time. I keep mine topped off whenever possible, as my MPG is so, so much better that way.
