It’s a rather caustic, but well-earned, statement about Daenerys’ abrupt reversal of intentions. Yes, everything you cite is true, but it’s also true that she went from The Breaker of Chains to Fire, Blood and Soil in the span of a few hours in show. And the result was both jarring, and well-deserving of remark.

I was hoping he’d become Day King, fighter of the Night King. The series finale should have been Day King vs. Night King.

Weiss and Benioff wanted to fuck off after 7 seasons, but agreed on truncated 7&8 as comprimise. Screw those guys. They could have left someone else to take over for the final portion, not rush ahead to the finish.
