Also, factor in that Elon has been taking Ozempic and has likely mostly lost muscle mass. So, his extra weight is probably not helpful in this case.

Unless you have a Tesla, then you don’t have any of these issues. Seriously have never run into a Tesla supercharger without any spaces free, or any problems with Supercharging. In 7 years of owning Teslas with supercharging. You just plug in and charge. And now with 250 kW charging, it’s damn fast.

Yeah, no point in having a manual EV. The motors can do 200 mph with one gear. Why shift?

Hopefully the Taycan triple motor configuration?

The RWD Model 3 gets the LFP batteries. Besides being cheaper, they will last a million miles, which kind of makes them an interesting option, for someone that drives a lot. It was a really good deal at $33k with the tax credit. Now, not so much.

EVs are even better than ICE in water. No worries about hydrolocking. The HV electronics are all sealed well.

I would definitely buy a pure electric jeep for off-roading. It would be amazing.

133 mph isn’t even impressive anymore. Probably every family car on sale today could go at least that fast.

Is this the “get off my lawn” old-man thread?

I just went through that. I buried one inside my bike, and now it’s one year later and the battery needed to be replaced. Had to take a bunch of stuff apart to get to it.

The Tesla Roadster must have had different seats. I thought mine were great. I did pretty long load trips in mine.

It has an insane amount of grip. 295s in the rear.

It also can drive itself on the highway, and comfortably drive your grandma to church on Sundays.

Best to throw away the stuff carefully. It might be bad to inhale the dust.

I do the same thing with my bikes, but unfortunately the Airtag makes noise after it has been disconnected from your Apple device for 8 hours. So, the thief is alerted to it immediately and can throw the airtag away. I’m hoping that’s a good enough decoy to throw the thief off the trail and they won’t go looking for

1025 HP... I see what they did there. Someone else happens to sell a car with 1020 HP. Also, very close in price. $109k.

Yup. And the mobile connector is even cheaper.

But that’s also pretty easy to add, if your electrical panel is nearby. A few hundred dollars.

Huh? The Tesla charger is $230 and it will always charge your car fully overnight. It is fast enough and reliable. Electricity in NC is under 10 cents per kwhr, dirt cheap. Driving is under 2.5 cents per mile.

It’s really f’in hard to get working AM radio in an EV. I can confirm, I had a Tesla Roadster with an AM radio. It made cool engine vroom vroom sounds when the motor was spinning. The motor pulse width modulation occurs right around the AM radio frequencies and is much much stronger. 400V or 800V pulses are going to
