Perhaps the manual on that base model cannot handle the awesome torque of the turbo-4?

Both? I would need another driveway for all that iron!
True, I was very surprised to see such prices lately (though thankfully I wasn’t looking for one to buy, just browsing).
Why would ANYONE buy a Caprice when you could get one called the “Roadmaster”? That is the greatest car name ever invented!
Yeah. I just got a used Lexus, and even though its a Toyota I still budgeted some money for repairs. I would probably have to sell my house to afford this guy’s 911 though...
I mean, if you buy a German or Italian hotrod, aren’t you supposed to budget some wild amount upfront for deferred maintenance that is sure to be needed?
Yeah, but the guy in the story is b****ing about spending only $2k to get his 911 “running right”. If his budget is that tight, it is objectively stupid of him to buy the car (sight unseen?) in the first place.
“It’s a left-hand drive vehicle, but in the middle, where a manual shifter would be, there is instead a lever.”
Well, perhaps you would rather the guy lie and say the AV systems are perfect and need no more learning?
From what I understand of lithium batteries, this would actually make sense. Charging to 80% is thought to help the batteries last longer ( on a life-cycle basis). Thus, it would be smart to only charge to 80% most of the time (assuming you don’t need the extra range). This is what I do with my ebike battery.
I don’t see the problem with this statement about student drivers. This is the whole point of “real world testing” that the AV industry is going through at the moment.
“No need to keep the revs up to maintain power, because there are none.”
They say that the closer one gets to light speed, the more time “stands still”. Perhaps this camera is just applying this concept in reverse?
Best part of this article is the pic where everyone is camping, and there is a winnebago right behind the 4-runner. Wow, that 4-runner must have SOME OFF-ROAD CAPABILITY to camp where that winnebago can go (i.e., not much).
I know, but I was responding to the comment that didn’t mention the type of food. Either way, nothing to be bragging about, helping us all get fat!
I hate to repeat my comment, but I just read this one where you actually brag about the corn crap corporations put in all of our food. The first thing a doctor will tell you is that all of that processed stuff isn’t what you should be eating at all...
LOL, if 75% of my food comes from Iowa, then it is in the form of processed corn/corn syrup. From a diet perspective it is not something to brag about...
“The new video, filmed by a Tesla Model S owner, suggests that Autopilot might have a vulnerability in similar situations.”
Good thing running the US govt. is EXACTLY like running a business, hey chump?
True, but people on Jalopnik are supposed to be smarter (er, well at least they are supposed to be better educated on the subject). Let the idiots who don’t read Jalopnik buy the new cars and waste their money!
