alternate title: how to ensure your front end and/or rear diff get’s wrecked when it is towed away by a tow truck driver who DGAF.
Yes, let’s ask the children what they think of “old cars.”
I like the custom “NOMARO” BADGE.
My ‘14 Grand Cherokee, when it’s not in it’s natural habitat (the dealership garage) pulls a 5200 pound travel trailer effortlessly and is well under it’s 7000 lb weight rating. It is also fantastic offroad and gets mid 20s around town (diesel).
Among all the ill fitting puzzle pieces of this story, one rises above the chaff:
arguments for/against moving up to the Acura? Would the SH-AWD and newly available adaptive dampers might make for a more engaging ride?
That was fast. Well done.
alleged mechanical violations.
It should be the Ford Focus Turbo-Activ, as James May showed us in arguably the best film ever produced by Top Gear.
Your comment on the scoop got scooped by Bob S’s tweet scoop on the scoop even though your scoop on the scoop technically scooped Bob’s scoop.
Recognizing that the Raptor’s payload is low, for what it is, I was still surprised to see the power wagon’s payload to be so low considering it’s a 2500 truck and a regular 2500 is a bit over 3000 pounds.
I remember when that Giant MCM full suspension came out in ~98. Oh it was sweet.
I had not checked the raptor payload. That is surprisingly low and definitely limits the utility from a towing perspective - I would have guessed the aluminum body would have provided for a higher value. Figure 5-600 lb tongue weight for your typical 24 foot travel trailer and that only leaves 600 lbs for four fat…
payload on the 2500 power wagon is surprisingly weak @ only 1460 lbs. I think it’s the soft rear springs or some such.
do other non-M’s have “M performance” on the engine cover? I assume this will be something like an Z4-M40i or whatever but it’s just the normal 3 liter turbo 6 found in the 340i, right? Not something special?
The UAW guy’s first name is General? I can see how that would be confusing as hell for the admin distributing the bribes to all the regional warlords. And to think of the Freedom fighting General who got the fruit basket.
I feel you missed an opportunity for a Musk Jab. Shouldn’t “Guaranteed” be replaced by “Riches Secured!” ?
For a ponzi scheme to work everyone has to play their part.
