I… somehow never even realized that? Their costume designs are even the same. Oh man. I have to sit down for a bit.

I'm curious what version of the New Warriors could be adapted for this medium. My favorite was the reality TV mini-series by Zeb Wells and Skottie Young. Unfortunately, this iteration of the team is basically only remembered for blowing up an entire school of children (plus themselves) at the start of Civil War.

Your cats read the comments section in the morning? Wow. They're just like us!

Given how the franchise has wasted Jet Li, I wouldn't get too excited.

He really fit the tone of the Ennis Marvel Knights run. Dark comedy is probably his best fit. His other Punisher work - such as his MAX run with Jason Aaron - is all pretty average to me.

In a lot of large cities they have companies like General Assembly that have 3-month "Immersive" programs that give you the skills necessary to become a Junior Programmer and help you find a job. I heavily considered switching careers a few years ago and looked at that as an option. I have several friends who have

The minor celebs aspect of working retail is definitely one of the perks. When I worked at a comic shop (13 years ago?!) I once rang up some comics for Rob Liefeld. I had heard that he screwed over my boss on some creator owned book transactions, so in my head I kept thinking, "Whoa it's Rob Liefeld! What a sucky guy!"

Seconded on Locke & Key, in a really big way. I loved that series so much.

It's the best one, and it has the most solid and TV ready premise. It's a detective agency run by a couple of flawed mutants who didn't fit the regular X-Men mold.

At my bachelor party in Austin. Taking a break to say hi to everyone, but I'll check through the thread throughout the weekend.

Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur Vol. 1 - This book didn't really work for me and I didn't think the premise had quite enough to hang an ongoing series off of it. Lunella, the Moon Girl herself is a fairly great character on her own and reminded me of a younger Amadeus Cho with African American descent. I'd be fine if they

It's because most writers have forgotten about Miguel and that he's in the present.

It was pretty cool and I remember seeing it during Johns' run. I had absolutely no idea why she had that title though.

A pretty big shift towards more "realistic" costumes happened when Bryan Hitch debuted his Ultimates designs. I remember my jaw dropped when I saw Cap's WWII outfit in the first issue — it makes sense that they basically recreated that costume for the first movie.

Even still, he clearly didn't join until principal production was completed. He'll probably have a say in a small handful of scenes plus a line or two that they can ADR. As a comparison, I'm saying McCay wasn't noticeable even though he was hired on before Ant-Man was even filming.

I wouldn't get too excited for this development, given how late in the game it is. I'm reminded of when Adam McCay got hired to fix up the Ant-Man script with Paul Rudd. In the final product, you can't even really tell that McCay was in the mix at all.

I could barely hold it together during the opening 30 seconds of this trailer, given that I have an older brother whom I'm really close to and he's about to have his first kid. The actual movie is going to leave me a mess.

The melancholic tone is part of the Spider-Man storytelling toolbox that can be misused if not careful. The "sad-sackism" is prevalent in most classic Spider-Man stories, but it's just balanced out with more moments of sheer joy.

Plus the showrunner of 90s Spider-Man, John Semper, frequently bitches on Facebook about how he doesn't get credited for creating the Spider-Verse in the first place.

Did it have the Inheritors as villains, or did the show create its own conflict? I was always curious about those episodes because I loved the comic storyline.
