I just got that one from the library. I was a little afraid to dive in for those exact reasons, but I've been reading comics for so long that I think it'll help me understand the craft better. We should discuss once we're done!

I know it's not even the most memorable sequence in the movie, but I loved Blink using her powers against Sentinels in DOFP. The Colossus-diving-into-gravity move seeming cribbed from the Portal games was by far my favorite.

I really haven't liked any of Abnett's writing when he's by himself. It seems to be lacking a certain amount of levity and heart when he's not paired with Lanning.

How long do you wait to read a current series on MU? I've mostly been using it to read old stuff because I don't think I'd like to get caught up on a book and then have to follow another monthly title.

I have one random "celebrity" encounter at that exact store and it was Max Landis. Keep in mind this was before he reached his Final Form and I was kind of a fan of his based on Chronicle, his Boy's Night webcomic, and even that video he posted about Man of Steel. He was surprised to be recognized, but understood that

Seriously, what the shit was that?

The tone is really confusing. It was never quite as dark as they made it sound though. In fact, the main problem was that it was so downright cheesy, like Batman '66 in live action form in parts*.

It's fantastic too. Closes next month — hurry if you haven't seen it!

It actually wasn't that hard to get cheap tickets near the end, if you're familiar with how to get same-day rush tickets. The show closed because the venue was huge and there was no way they were selling out all those seats anymore.

The most embarrassing part? This is one of the best songs in the entire show.

I was a little confused by this interview because I was wondering what Berger could possibly be promoting. Is it really this book? Because I just bought it a few months ago used for $0.01 on Amazon.

I actually saw the show during its last weeks before closing. Reeve Carney had just left about 3 months prior and so there was a new guy who got to play Peter Parker while the show was on its last legs.

He's kind of like their James Rhodes. Oh wait—

Re: Wonder Woman, if this "open letter" is true then it's starting to sound like she dodged a bullet.

The most surprising thing about this new one is that it's so unlike the previous titles. It reminds me of 12, 13, and even the online titles in how far you can stray while still using the FF name. Given the hit-or-miss nature of those experiments, I really have no idea what to expect. (I haven't played the demos and

They're actually already selling pre-orders on the Season Pass for $24.99. Square Enix claims that the base game is a complete package and none of the DLC is deleted content.

ONLY ONE COVER?!

Kyle's continued survival is amazing, especially when you consider how many young legacy heroes have been shuffled in and out of the picture over the years, like Wally West and Connor Hawke. Heck, every now and then they even toy around with getting rid of Dick Grayson! And he's THE legacy hero!

There's a weird feeling of cultural appropriation behind it too. At least with Blankets, Thompson was exploring his own religious background and it made the whole thing feel very true and lived-in. Habibi feels like he tried to follow that thread to other cultures and took on more than he could handle.

The most shocking thing about reading the whole run is seeing how close the classics are, sequentially. Proteus, Dark Phoenix, and DOFP are all a stone's throw from each other, along with other influential stories. It must have been unbelievable following that comic monthly at the time it was coming out.
