I’ve been trying to figure out who this rather severe portrayal of Medusa reminded me of...

His backstory’s too complicated for the comics. I remember the Weinberg run which was sadly cut short in it’s attempt to unravel all the retcons and bizarre nonsense multiple writers had sewn onto the tangled knot that it originally was.

I didn’t think so, it lost me by the 8th episode( I was forcing myself with the others)

In fairness it should’ve captured audiences in the first episodes and failed at that. Also should’ve been a king fu show with good rehearsed choreography(which wasn’t any of that) I saw most of it, it just lost me.

“The odd thing about Marvel people is they seem eternally surprised that some critics think their ABC shows are terrible. Which they are.”

“Just wait and see”

... and had Jeph Loeb selecting the showrunner.

This could have been such a great movie franchise and I really feel like it should have stayed on the big screen to do the characters justice. The preview just looks silly. They even managed to make the smoking hot serinda swan look bad. That takes talent

Okay, now I’m actually starting to feel sorry for them...

Jeph Loeb wrote a few very enjoyable but in retrospect kind-of-overrated comic books in the 90s but pretty much everything he’s touched since then has ranged from not very good to downright terrible, yet he has consistently failed upwards.

If the audience “doesn’t get it” then you “didn’t do it.”

Sighhh. I hated it’s not a movie, but goddamn they had to mess it up badly. Also pretty sure if Kamala is ever in a movie she won’t get Lockjaw. If she’s in a tv show(which I hope not cause budget) she might get him but..... she’ probably stay away from the inhumans

Book Cersei and Show Cersei are pretty different characters. Book Cersei outsmarted Ned and then promptly fell apart once she had actual responsibility. Show Cersei has consistently been a much more competent adversary.

Cersei needs a Twitter account.

I actually have a headcanon theory for this, if it helps?

Cersei was incompetent because, for too long, she was fuelled by passion and resentment. The former particularly.

It’s more like he has always dealt in a world without magic, he’s cunning and clever but he’s not imaginative enough. Last episode Olenna laid it out perfectly when she was talking about her lack of imagination being her undoing. Littlefinger is simply out of his element in a world where Bran can see the past and

Cersei and Jamie have both learned from mistakes, and experiences.

I loved a lot about this episode, but I am tired to death of Cersei’s sudden competence. The primary thrust of her character, consistent through all of the books, is that she has this colossal chip on her shoulder: she believes being a woman has held her back for her entire life, that she is the greatest and wisest

And the power steering was well worth the upgrade.

I really enjoyed the resurrection of my favorite running joke, “Fewer”. Nice to see Davos carrying on Stannis’ crusade for proper grammar.
