Sure would love to hear Diana Moskovitz’s take on this development but Spanfeller is a fucking piece of shit.

Excellent story, well-written and researched. Philadelphian here, I remember Lutheran, though not nearly with the level of detail contained here.

We’re still in denial and proclaiming racism as some type of geographical thing.

That’s some Angels in the Outfield bullshit right there.

What might not suck: They opened a sensory room at Lincoln for for fans with autism and other sensory issues who need to take a break without having to exit the stadium. I know we are supposed to be dragging them but Swoop has headphones on and that’s fucking adorable.

I grew up outside of Philly and I hate the fucking Eagles, man.

Why is the President going to the maternity ward at a Pittsburgh hospital?

I miss the Coughlin Face. It’s the closest thing we had to a living, breathing Abraham Simpson -- and he made it at least 10 times in every single Giants-Eagles game.

Where I live now ain’t much, but compared to the Skook it’s freaking Valhalla.

Local-ish-ish. But it always stunned me as a kid

The Maroons got jobbed.

Thank you for that insight.  Thank you so much for providing for your students and I totally get the hit to the grocery bill. What a shame that in this “land of plenty” children wake up and go to bed hungry.

I 100% agree with you, but in my school district, the argument “breakfast can’t cost that much” is often used to pressure/guilt teachers into buying breakfast supplies from their own pocket. I am a teacher and have kept student food in my room all year every year, and it gets expensive. Should it be my problem? No-

I used to be a music snob when I was younger, and now I’m like oh hey.. I’m just gonna listen to what makes me feel good. Sometimes that’s a really cool local artist, and other times it’s a #1 hit.

Man, these guys really won’t defend anything.

Doing this question right-to-left is insane. Order of operation, y’all. You solve brackets/parentheses first, then compute exponents, then division/multiplication is done left-to-right, as is addition/subtraction.

It is not 1. It is 9. Order of operations says it is 9. I have a Masters in Math and have taught math for 25 years. Writing 6 divided by 2(1+2) is not the same as writing it as a fraction. When you write something as a fraction, it is the same as using parenthesis around the numerator (the top) and parenthesis around

It’s definitely 9. It’s only confusing because it’s written with really shitty, confusing notation.

Actually yes it is, but ok.

What’s it like to be so wrong but think you’re correct with your incorrect answer?
