Demos are dead for the most part because companies realized they could charge for what is practically the same as a demo and call it “early access”

FF14 has again consumed me. The 3.1 - 3.3 patch content is amazing, the new raids are so fun and I finally started crafting, which has a cruel grasp over me.

On top of that, how many other, bigger known “gates” have their been in recent years? Deflategate, Bridgegate, etc. I can’t understand how some people took this wrong then starting using it to champion god knows what. I couldn’t follow most of it, maybe that’s a good thing.

The fact a few people got so up in arms about this is plain stupid, to the point I was hoping there wouldn’t be a story on it. But the biggest thing I think that just makes me shake my head is after most people dug deeper and saw this was clearly a Watergate nod, the people championing it as a GG thing wouldn’t back…

His entire segment on the Giant Bomb E3 Afterhour Party was amazing and very well spoken. Regardless of your stance on the Xbox, he comes across genuine, knowledgeable, and seems to actually care about games. It was fun seeing him speak for the 30-40 minutes.

I was pretty on board with this game back with the initial Episode Duscae demo. The “tech-demo” demo a few months ago made me less interested...this stage demo has me super unimpressed.

I should jump back into this. It was horrible at launch, but the changes they made over the first year were amazingly positive, and I played up to and through the Wrothgar DLC, and it was a good time
